National figure, meteorologist and environmentalist Rob Gell is representing Aluna in Australia, where plans to realise a Southern Hemisphere structure are presently focussing on Melbourne.

"I am delighted to be able to represent Laura and her team in Australia. The prospect of installing a complementary antipodean Aluna is very exciting and I believe will contribute to the global 'sense of place' that this sculpture invokes. As a geographer and environmentalist I have a strong engagement with Aluna's scale and design linkages to our planet and I look forward to developing further interest in what is already capturing the imaginations of Melburnians."
